CPTC Participates in Mock Accreditation Visit

Clover Park Technical College students, staff and faculty participated in a mock accreditation visit May 21 to prepare for the official accreditation visit in October.

Nearly 100 representatives of the College attended 30-minute group sessions to dialogue with accreditation evaluators in Building 19. Throughout the day students, staff, faculty, strategic planning committee members and cabinet members met with the accreditation team to explain CPTC’s processes.

“It’s clear to us you believe the work is worth doing,” said Ron Baker, an accreditation evaluator.

At the end of the day, interested individuals attended a final session to meet with the evaluators to learn of their observations and ask questions of what to expect in October.

CPTC is accredited by the Northwest Commission on Colleges and Universities. Accreditation by NWCCU indicates the College meets or exceeds criteria for the assessment of institutional quality evaluated through a peer review process.
