Nursing Program Kicks Off Nurses Week
The Clover Park Technical College nursing program office staff kicked off Nurses Week May 5, with a celebration luncheon for its staff nurses in Building 21.
Nurses week is celebrated annually from May 6 through May 12. With the majority of the nursing staff off campus at clinical sites during the week, the event took place the day before.
The office staff wanted to show their appreciation for the 20 faculty nurses with a BBQ lunch, gift keychains and tokens.
“They’re amazing,” Director of Nursing Programs Myra Griffin said. “They go above and beyond.”
The Clover Park Technical College nursing program has 25 registered nurse students and about 100 practical nurse students. There are also about 100 students in the certified nursing assistant program.
Aside from teaching, faculty nurses also serve as student advisors.
