WA State Job Skills Program-Grant Funding for Employee Training Programs
by Corporate Education
$7.5M in grant funding is available right now to offset your company costs for employee training through the Job Skills Program (JSP) matching grant. The funds are for companies and non-profit organizations who need customized training and development for their new or existing workers and are administered by Clover Park Technical College’s Corporate Education department.
How does this JSP Program work? Your company works directly with our Corporate Education team to plan your funded training project. We come out with our industry expert trainers and consultants to plan a scope of work with you at no cost. We consult with you to identify your training needs and craft a training solution. You can also use this funding for your own preferred consultants and existing programming.
We write your application for you!
We apply for the grant on your behalf and funding is released upon approval. The total amount of your trainee payroll paid during training hours is the company “match” and is applied as your contribution to the cost of the training. Your paid wages need to match the project expenses at 100%. There will be a small percentage of cash as a match down payment on your JSP grant, depending on your annual revenue.
Small businesses get a special advantage
Businesses of all sizes can benefit from the JSP grant but those with an annual gross revenue under $500K have an exemption to 100% match requirements–you agree to pay your employees their normal wages while in training.
