CPTC Welcomes Visitors to Spring Program Expo
Clover Park Technical College will host its Spring Program Expo on Wednesday, April 10, as it invites anyone interested in learning more about its program offerings to the McGavick Conference Center on its Lakewood Campus.
All 44 programs CPTC offers will be on display in one location from 3 p.m. to 7 p.m., allowing visitors to learn about any programs that interest them all in one stop. Each display will feature information about the program and its career opportunities, and faculty members will be available to answer questions and get to know prospective students.
CPTC hosts regular Program Information Sessions on the second and fourth Wednesdays of each month for visitors to learn about specific programs and tour their facilities, but twice each year the college brings all the programs to one spot on campus for the Program Expo. These events offer extended hours and greater flexibility to fit the scheduling needs of attendees.
As the college transitions to the Guided Pathways educational approach, CPTC has grouped each of its programs into seven schools to more effectively assist students in finding the option that best matches their strengths, interests, and career goals. The seven schools include Aerospace and Aviation; Science, Technology, Engineering and Design; Automotive and Trades; Advanced Manufacturing; Nursing; Health and Human Development; and Business and Personal Services.
Visitors to the Expo will follow a four-step path through the conference center. After they check in at the Welcome Desk, they will enter the Program Expo Hall where all the program booths will be located. From there, they will have an opportunity to learn about the college resources available to support their education before finishing with the chance to meet with the Entry Services team to ask any questions about enrollment or financial aid or begin the enrollment process if they’re ready.
