CPTC wins Excellence in Community Partnership Award

by Jenn Adrien

Late last month, the Pierce County Community Engagement Task Force recognized Clover Park Technical College with the Excellence in Community Partnership Award at its annual Community Pillar Awards celebration. Dean of Student Success Cristeen Crouchet and Director of Career & Community Services Michelle Barre joined College President Joyce Loveday to accept the award.

“I’m so proud of our hard-working staff at CPTC for being recognized by the Pierce County Community Engagement Task Force as valued partners and as a community pillar,” said Dr. Loveday in a message to invitees.

The Excellence in Community Partnership Award commends organizations offering in-kind event locations, donated transportation, videography, and storytelling support.

“Last November’s Collaboration for a Cause is a testament to the power of collaboration and shared vision,” explained Crouchet. “The job and resource fair was a joint project through Workforce Central. CPTC partners on outreach events like that, providing resources and a centralized location in our facilities.  There is a lot of involvement from multiple people.”

Their commitment to the Pierce County Community Engagement Task Force and its residents serves as a beacon of inspiration to us all. Their relentless efforts have shattered barriers and expanded the horizons of what we believed achievable, and for that, we extend our deepest gratitude. – Pierce County Community Engagement Task Force

Thank you for the opportunity to coordinate and collaborate, PCCETF! We look forward to many more to come.
