High School Equivalency Testing Services Lowers Scores to Pass Exams

The GED Testing Service announced on Jan. 26 that it is retroactively lowering the pass rate for each of the four required GED/high school equivalency tests from 150 to 145. The new pass rate will apply to tests taken on or after Jan. 1, 2014. Updated transcripts and certificates will be available at GED.com in March.

If a student thinks they credentialed by earning at least 145 on all four sections of the test, they can check their GED.com account, or call CPTC’s Pearson VUE Test Center at 253-589-6035.

If a student has scheduled a retake exam of a subject they received a 145-149 score on previously, they are able to cancel the retake. Please call 1-877-392-6433 to do so.
