The President’s Unsung Heroes for 2014

Looking back at the President’s Unsung Heroes for 2014. 

  • CPTC's Cosmetology Faculty received the January 2014 President's Unsung Hero Award for providing 175 free haircuts to kids in need.

  • The February 2014 President's Unsung Hero Award went to the CPTC Community for providing a holistic college experience.

  • CPTC's Automotive Program received the President's Unsung Hero Award for March 2014 for consistently participating in community events and ensuring that their students can connect with local employers.

  • Sharon Freeman won the President's Unsung Hero Award for April 2014 for her commitment to becoming more entrepreneurial.

  • Michelle Barre, Clover Park Technical College’s Advising and Counseling/Student Services program assistant, was selected as the President's Unsung Hero for May 2014 for her dedication to increasing student success and educational access.

  • The Clover Park Technical College Graduation Committee was selected as the President's Unsung Hero for July for their innovative work in organizing the campus-wide annual event.

  • Janet Holm, Clover Park Technical College’s outreach coordinator, was selected as the President's Unsung Hero for the month of August for her efforts to refine CPTC’s business practices and increase student success and educational access.

  • Brian Powell was selected as the President's Unsung Hero for October 2014 for his role in the college being awarded a federal grant for nearly $2.5 million for the Mechatronics Technician Program.

  • Cindy Overton, eLearning support specialist, works to provide training and support to CPTC's students, staff and faculty in the use of instructional technologies. She was selected the President's Unsung Hero for November 2014 for her dedication to increasing student success and educational access.
