Nearly 4,000 local middle school, high school and prospective students will make their way to Clover Park Technical College’s Lakewood Campus Thursday, May 11, for the college’s annual Career Conference.

Pierce Transit and Clover Park Technical College are teaming up on a new program that will put a bus pass in the hands of every student enrolled at the college. Pierce Transit is piloting the Community & Technical College Student Bus Pass Program to help students access transportation to and from class, introduce students to transit, and reduce parking demand at local community and technical colleges. The agency is beginning the program at Clover Park Technical College and expects to expand it to other local community and technical colleges later in 2017. Pierce Transit’s Board of Commissioners approved the pilot program, which will run through June 2018, at its April 10 meeting.

The Clover Park Technical College Foundation is currently soliciting nominations for two prestigious alumni awards: Young Alumni and Distinguished Alumni.

Clover Park Technical College students going into their final year of study in in Industrial Programs for the 2017-18 Academic Year can apply for the Grainger Tools for Tomorrow Scholarship until March 17.

Clover Park Technical College will host its Fall Evening Open House Wednesday, Oct. 12, from 3 p.m. to 7 p.m. at the Lakewood campus. The event is open to the public and anyone wishing to get a closer look at any of the 43 programs CPTC offers.

During Summer Break, several offices on campuses will be either closed or running on limited hours. Below is a list of campus hours and closures for the break, Sept. 3-25. The college is closed on Labor Day, Sept. 5. The first day of Fall Quarter is Sept. 23.
